Our Servers
The
processors in our servers are 100% i386 compatible Intel processors. All
new accounts are being hosted on modern 1,200 Mhz CPUs. We have over 150
CPUs in our stock in case of emergency CPU failures.
FreeBSD
is the operating system of our choice. Known to have the most stable TCP/IP
stack of all available server operating systems, it is the ultimate solution
for reliability, flexibility and performance.
All
our servers come with 512 megabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM) of the
famous brand Kingston. In addition to that, we hold over eight gigabytes
(8,192mb) of RAM in our stock in case of emergency RAM chipset failures.
We
solely use IBM as your hard drive (HDD) supplier. Depending on the server's
architecture, we either use 75GXP drives with 7,200 rpm and 2 megabytes
of cache or for maximum reliability and performance, UltraStar 73LZX SCSI
drives at a size of 36.5 gigabytes and with a speed of over 10,000 rpm.
Plesk
is the control panel software that is installed on our servers and that
you can use to administer your account. It will allow you to create email
accounts, FTP users, manage your domain names.
3COM
network cards are installed by default in all our servers. Through exhaustive
experiences with manufacturers of other network cards we have found 3COM
network cards to be the most reliable giving rock-solid performance.
